Our nurses provide culturally appropriate, family-centered care in a unique hospital environment. Among ANMC’s health care team, our nurses are viewed as respected partners, collaborators and leaders. More than 80 percent of our front line nurses hold Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees and 45 percent have received specialty certifications.

The ANMC hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, 182-bed facility that provides comprehensive medical services to Alaska Native and American Indian people living in Alaska. The hospital is an adult and pediatric Level II Trauma Center, and we also bring care close to home for patients across our large state – both through telehealth and thousands of hours of service at field clinics in rural communities.
