CONSTRUCTION UPDATEConstruction crews worked this week on demolition of the east side ANMC hospital exterior canopy. Starting Monday, May 13, crews will begin demolition of the former Dental entrance octagon. While crews continue demolition on these structures there will be considerable noise, as crews are using a jackhammer attached to an excavator to demo the sidewalk and foundations. After listening to extensive feedback from patients, visitors and staff about campus food service, ANTHC will fully assume operations of Food and Nutrition Services at the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) Cafeteria and Patient Housing Café beginning on May 1. Operating these services will allow us to continually assess and improve our food service operations and offerings.
