The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) recently acquired additional patient lodging capacity to meet the increased demand for Alaska Native patients traveling to Anchorage for health care. With these two additional locations, we also have a new designation for these properties – ANTHC Lodging.

ANTHC Lodging at Midtown is at 100 E Tudor Road and ANTHC Lodging at Old Seward is located at 700 E 34th Avenue. These new locations will add more than 225 rooms, once renovations at ANTHC Lodging at Old Seward are complete, and are conveniently situated between the Alaska Native Health Campus and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Patient Housing at ANMC will be renamed ANTHC Lodging at Tudor Centre.

“This development marks a key step in our commitment to providing quality care and services to Alaska Native people. We’re excited to offer patients more streamlined and reliable lodging options, ensuring their stay is as comfortable and secure as possible,” said Natasha Singh, President/CEO of ANTHC.

The need for additional rooms comes along with our efforts to improve access to specialty care and reduce wait times. In 2021, the occupancy rate rarely exceeded capacity, in part due to COVID-19 prevention measures and restrictions. However, in 2024, demand routinely exceeded capacity. In March 2025, we saw record numbers of patients staying with us, proving this expansion is timely and necessary to meet the needs of patients we serve.

There are now five locations to serve Alaska Native and American Indian people while they receive care or treatment in Anchorage:
