A critical incident evokes an array of reactions and deep emotions, including grief, and potentially interferes with an individual or group’s ability to function. People report feeling emotionally, physically, behaviorally, mentally and spiritually impacted by critical incidents.
The content of the crisis response trainings may include graphic or disturbing subject matter and may be emotionally distressing to some participants. Participants are encouraged to leave the training at any point should they find the material excessively distressing.
