ANMC Cardiology Clinic earns vascular testing accreditation

January 8, 2021

The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Vascular Testing granted the Cardiology Clinic at the Alaska Native Medical Center a three-year term of accreditation in the area(s) of extracranial cerebrovascular testing and peripheral venous testing.

The accreditation indicates the cardiology clinic passed IAC’s intensive application and review process demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care in vascular testing. According to a press release from IAC, the accreditation is a seal of approval patients can rely on as an indicator of consistent quality care and a dedication to continuous improvement. The training and experience of the technologist performing the procedure, the type of equipment used and the quality assessment metrics each facility is required to measure, all contribute to a positive patient outcome.

The specialty clinics at ANMC managed by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium continuously work to provide the highest quality health services for the Alaska Native people we serve. Congratulations to the Cardiology team for their work to earn this recognition.
