The Injury Prevention program, whose goal is to reduce injury morbidity and mortality among Alaska Native people, works with partners and Tribal health organizations to promote safe, healthy living through advocacy, education, training and technical support.
The program’s areas of focus include suicide prevention, drowning prevention, fall prevention, poisoning prevention and transportation safety. The Injury Prevention program works with Tribal health organizations to provide community education and training opportunities and community-focused, evidence-based, collaborative materials and resources.
