The ANMC Endocrinology Clinic specializes in providing a full range of endocrinology services including evaluation and treatment of:
- Abnormal thyroid function
- Thyroid nodules including thyroid biopsy and thyroid cancer treatment
- Abnormal pituitary function
- Abnormal ovarian and testicular function
How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment, you must first receive a referral from your primary care provider or another specialty clinic.
If you have any questions, please contact our clinic and we can work with you and your provider on the appropriate referral.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take me to be seen?
Once a complete referral is received from your primary care provider, you’ll be called to schedule an initial visit with Endocrinology within two weeks.
Why can’t I see my primary care provider for my thyroid?
Often primary care providers are able to manage thyroid hormone imbalances; however, they may not be able to appropriately manage all patients. Typically, we receive referrals from primary care providers when they believe their patients require expert consultation.
Do I need an escort?
Unless your mobility is greatly diminished or other extenuating circumstances are present, you will not need an escort for your initial visit with our endocrinologists. If you are scheduled for a thyroid biopsy we will request you bring an escort.
Where is the Endocrinology Clinic located?
We are on the third floor of the Healthy Communities Building within the Internal Medicine Clinic, located at 3900 Ambassador Drive.
Why are new labs and imaging needed before every visit?
Blood and urine tests provide our endocrinologists with vital information about your blood cell counts, chemistry, and hormone levels, which enables them to accurately diagnose and treat endocrine problems and adjust medications properly. We generally need recent labs done within a week of the clinic visit and may need updated imaging as well, which may include ultrasounds, CT/MRI, or nuclear medicine scans.
