How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment, you must first receive a referral from your primary care provider or another specialty clinic.
Any questions, please contact our clinic and we can work with you and your provider on the appropriate referral.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take me to be seen?
Once a complete referral is received from your provider, you’ll generally be called to schedule an initial visit with Podiatry within one business week.
Is my first visit to set me up for a surgery?
No. Even though your provider may feel you need surgery, the podiatrist needs to conduct a thorough exam and confirm they believe a surgery is needed. The initial visit consists of image reviews and a very thorough physical examination.
Do I need an escort for my initial visit?
Unless your mobility is greatly diminished or other extenuating circumstances are present, you will not need an escort for your initial visit with Podiatry.
Where is Podiatry located?
We are on the fourth floor of the Healthy Communities Building, located at 3900 Ambassador Drive.
I have been offered surgery, do I really need to quit smoking?
Yes. You need to be nicotine free for at least six months prior to scheduling any elective foot surgery. Tobacco use decreases the success rates of surgeries because it impairs healing and depresses your immune system.
How long until I can return to work?
We all heal differently, so this depends on your individual case. Some surgeries require patients to be away from work for six weeks or longer.
