ANTHC’s Health Promotion program offers educational resources, technical assistance and training, in partnership with Tribal health organizations to promote healthy eating, physical activity, and prevention of chronic disease across the lifespan.

All program activities promote the health benefits of harvesting and consuming Alaska Native traditional foods.  The Health Promotion program collaborates with partners to support regional Alaskan Plants as Food & Medicine symposium events, that teach traditional plant knowledge, ethical plant harvesting, and hands-on activities to encourage a holistic approach to wellness.
