Western Alaska Disaster Relief

Consider a Financial Gift
Many western Alaska communities were devastated by Typhoon Halong. Families are displaced, homes and infrastructure are damaged, and the needs are great. Hundreds of people are being displaced to temporary shelters in Anchorage this week, and many people are stepping up to help.
The Healthy Alaska Natives Foundation, Bethel Community Services Foundation, and Alaska Community Foundation have established the Western Alaska Disaster Relief Fund. The fund supports immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts for families and communities impacted by the devastating remnants of Typhoon Halong.
Traditional Food Donations
- Make sure all donations – like seal, fish, game, berries, and others – are in good condition.
- Please bring non-traditional foods, such as canned goods or dry pantry staples, to the Food Bank of Alaska.
- Any donated food that is not used directly for relief meals will be offered to the Southcentral Foundation Elders Program.
For drop-off:
- Bring donations to ANTHC Lodging at Tudor Centre, 4001 Tudor Centre Drive, on Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- For small donations, please bring to the food service staff in the Cafe.
- For large donations – requiring assistance with large coolers or heavy boxes – please come inside first to connect with food service staff.
