Looking ahead to December, another significant milestone is on the horizon in the construction of the Skilled Nursing Facility. Mid-December is when crews estimate the building erection will be complete, and enveloping can begin.
While steel erection continues, crews have begun installing all the essential electrical wiring and components, including cables, junction boxes, and outlet boxes, within the walls and ceilings before the drywall is installed. Framers have completed the first phase of work on the first and second floors, and construction of the second-floor deck is now underway.
Upcoming Milestones:
- Courtyard to be brought up to grade
- Siding and window installation is upcoming
- Move to permanent utilities for the facility
Construction is underway at the corner of Ambassador Drive and Elmore Road. There should be no direct impacts on departments, although visitors on campus will likely notice the activity. Noise levels will increase in the immediate vicinity due to the operation of heavy equipment.
