As temperatures drop, construction crews are finding ways to keep work on track. Temporary tents have been set up to heat the concrete, allowing crews to continue their work. Reinforcement on the exterior courtyard ICF wall of phase 2 is now complete, and has passed inspections. Weather barriers are also being installed in preparation for exterior window installation, and mechanical contractors are installing electrical wiring on the first floor.
Upcoming Milestones:
- Installation of vinyl windows.
- Complete the ICF clock up to the top of the wall in the stairwell.
- Move the facility onto permanent utilities.
Construction is underway at the corner of Ambassador Drive and Elmore Road. There should be no direct impacts on departments, although visitors on campus will likely notice the activity. Noise levels will increase in the immediate vicinity due to the operation of heavy equipment.
