As the summer weather transitions from sunny to rainy and back to sunny again, construction crews working on the Skilled Nursing Facility are transitioning between framing the first floor, erecting steel on the second-floor deck, and finishing the shallow underground.
Upcoming project milestones include completing the backfilling of the strip and spot footings, as well as pouring concrete in both interior and exterior walls. Crews began placing steel at the end of May and will continue to erect and envelop the building through December 2025.
Construction of the 80-bed, 92,000-square-foot Skilled Nursing Facility is expected to be completed by January 2027.
Construction is underway at the corner of Ambassador Drive and Elmore Road. There should not be direct impacts to departments, although visitors on campus will most likely notice the activity. Noise levels will increase in the immediate vicinity due to the operation of heavy equipment.
