Nominations for the 2026 Luminary Awards now open through Feb. 13

Every year, the Healthy Alaska Natives Foundation (HANF) recognizes and celebrates those who demonstrate exemplary dedication and make outstanding contributions to the Alaska Native Tribal Health System. 

If you know an individual, department, or organization that made a meaningful difference and is committed to advancing ANTHC’s vision that Alaska Native people are the healthiest people, click on this link to nominate them for a 2026 Luminary Award!  The nomination form is open now through Friday, Feb. 13.  

The categories for this year’s awards are: 

  • Legacy & Leadership: Awarded to an outstanding Tribal health leader and/or health care professional and expert in their field who has displayed a long-term commitment to helping improve the Alaska Tribal Health System. 
  • Distinguished Provider: Awarded to a health care provider whose dedication has made a difference in the lives of the patients they care for and strengthened the Alaska Tribal Health System. This award can go to any clinician. 
  • Outstanding Rural Health Champion: Awarded to outstanding individuals, departments, or organizations in rural Alaska who have made an outstanding contribution to the enhancement of rural life, people, and/or programs.
