Registration for online Tobacco Treatment Specialist training now open

The ANTHC Tobacco Prevention Program is now enrolling the second cohort of ANTHC’s online Tobacco Treatment Specialist training. Participants will be able to use the ANTHC Distance Learning Network to complete this online training from Feb. 1 to March 29. Registration will close on Thursday, Jan. 31, or once the training is full.

The training teaches health care professionals the necessary skills to provide effective, evidence-based interventions for individuals who are ready to quit using tobacco. The training has 10 modules and it is estimated that each module will take one week on average to complete. Up to 30 CMEs/CNEs available; credits are also available for Community Health Aides/Practitioners and Behavioral Health Aides (up to 20 credits).
