Health Within Reach: ANTHC 2019 Annual MeetingDecember 9, 2019
Alaska Native leaders, Tribal partners and community members from across the state joined ANTHC’s Board of Directors and executive staff for the Consortium’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Dena’ina Civic Center in Anchorage. The Annual Meeting is an exciting event that allows us to discuss our accomplishments and challenges in the last year, while also getting a chance to connect and communicate face to face with our people.
This year’s annual report featured the theme “Health Within Reach” to show the various ways that the work the Consortium does helps bring us closer to our vision that Alaska Native people are the healthiest people in the world.
The annual meeting gave leadership and staff the opportunity to discuss expansion of the services we provide across the state including: improvements in availability of specialty care appointments at the Alaska Native Medical Center; the addition of Allergy and Immunology services at ANMC; bringing wellness and prevention efforts closer to home; providing water and sanitation services to more communities; expanding educational opportunities for the future of the Alaska Tribal Health System and more. After the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to speak directly to our Consortium leaders about the work we do and the services we provide across Alaska.
We always appreciate the chance to hear feedback directly from our people. Thank you to those for sharing their thoughtful comments and concerns. If you have compliments, comments or questions for ANTHC, we always welcome feedback by emailing Patient Experience at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (907) 729-3990.
If you missed the meeting, a video recording is available on our Facebook page.
