Change to Level Red of Temporary Hospital Visitor Policy at ANMC

January 7, 2022

Effective Jan. 7, 2022, at 8 p.m., the temporary visitation policy at ANMC is changing to Level Red. Level Red is our most restrictive visitor policy, with no visitors or escorts for adult patients except in certain rare circumstances. These restrictions are being enacted to protect the health of our staff and patients due to high levels of COVID-19 cases in our community.

Specialty clinic appointments, the Emergency Department and inpatient units all have limits on visitor access. Pediatric patients not in isolation are allowed one parent or guardian and Maternity Services allows one care partner.

While in-person visitation is limited, we still want you and your loved ones in the hospital to stay connected as an important part of their care and healing. Options for connection with ANMC patients include phone calls, video chat, voice recorder, letters and email.

More information about visiting is available by calling the Alaska Native Medical Center at (907) 563-2662 or online at https://anthc.org/covid19/patient-appointment-and-anmc-information/.

Please note that these temporary levels of visiting guidelines will change as needed for the safety of patients, staff and our community. Check online or call ANMC for the latest information.
