Crews are making significant progress on the foundation of the building. The basement concrete work is close to completion and the perimeter foundation walls have been formed and poured.
Zones 6 & 7 (see map below) are being prepped for steel installation that is scheduled for September 29-30. In the meantime, the steel structures in Zones 5 & 6 are being structurally racked and plumbed.
The placement of structural steel will continue through December.
Potential Operational Impacts:
The crane operation and steel installation are expected to have minimal impact on hospital operations. However, there may be some disruptions due to noise or vibration between September 25-26, when workers are scheduled to install a structural steel beam in Zone 5.
Additionally, Stairwell 6 closure is scheduled to begin in October and run through the Spring of 2027. See the below image for more detail.
