Crews continue to finish up the foundation of the building. The basement concrete work is nearing completion, while the perimeter foundation walls are now being insulated and prepped for backfill. Preparation is underway for the grouting of the basement columns.
Connecting steel between Zones 6 and 7 is underway, as is steel erection in Zone 7. (See images below).
The placement of structural steel more broadly will continue through December.
Potential Operational Impacts:
The crane operation and steel installation are expected to have minimal impact on hospital operations. However, some disruptions may occur due to noise or vibration.
The current closure of Stairwell 6 is scheduled to run through the Spring of 2027. See the image below for more details.
