As the Holiday season kicks off this week, basement concrete work is nearing completion, with basement column grouting already complete. Construction crews have begun pouring concrete for the level 1 deck and expect to complete it in December. Level 1 is being enclosed for heating purposes while crews continue their work.
Zone 10 (see map of zones below), level 4 steel is scheduled for completion in December, and pan decking has been installed at zones 5-10 on level 3. Steel structure placement is ongoing and will continue through December.
Potential Operational Impacts:
The crane operation and steel installation will have minimal impact on hospital operations. There may be some disruptions due to noise or vibration as workers progress. The closure of Stairwell 6 is ongoing and is scheduled to continue through the Spring of 2027.
The project is on track for completion in Spring 2028.
