As crews push through to the New Year, basement concrete work nears completion — while basement mechanical and electrical detailing are in progress. Pan decking has been installed in Zones 5–10 (see map of zones below), and Level 1 concrete slab work is projected to be completed in January 2026. Zone 10, level 4 steel has been completed on schedule, and levels 1 and 2 have been enclosed for heat retention. Steel structure placement is ongoing and will continue through January 2026.
Potential Operational Impacts:
The crane operation and steel installation will have minimal impact on hospital operations. There may be some disruptions due to noise or vibration as workers progress. The closure of Stairwell 6 is ongoing and is scheduled to continue through the Spring of 2027.
