Work continues to progress on the basement of the Emergency Services expansion. The fireproofing is complete (along with Levels 1-2), and framing buildout, mechanical, and electrical work is ongoing.
At the same time, steel erection is nearing completion, while concrete slab work has been completed on Levels 1-3. For Stairwells 20 and 21, concrete is complete from Level 1-4, and for Stairwell 22, concrete is complete on Levels 1 and 2.
Potential Operational Impacts
The crane operation and steel placement will have minimal impact on hospital operations. Some disruptions due to noise or vibration may occur as workers progress.
Stairwell 6 closure is ongoing and is scheduled to run through the Spring of 2027.
