Important health tips for COVID-19

See how distancing yourself from others can help protect from COVID-19.

Tips to stay healthy

  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating; after going to the bathroom; and after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  2. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  4. Stay home when you are sick.
  5. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  6. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  7. Check on Elders for their health needs and encourage anyone 60 and older to stay home.
  8. People with underlying health conditions or immunocompromised should also stay home.
  9. Continue healthy practices such as eating healthy foods, drinking water and managing stress.
  10. Stay aware of travel guidelines.
