Support the ADTEP Educational Program
Dental provider education is expensive. That cost, however, is nowhere near the cost of having little or no access to care. Without dedicated providers, costly and invasive surgical care becomes necessary as oral disease is left untreated in communities. Transporting patients from villages to hub clinics for dental care costs millions annually and one operating room dental event for a child with early childhood dental caries can cost as much as $7,000. More than 600 children per year receive this kind of treatment in Alaska.
