Alaska Beauty Photo Contest

The Alaskan winter season is a favorite time of year for many who appreciate the beauty of the land, people and places. From the Northern Lights to the traditional use of lands, Alaska is full of natural beauty.

Appreciating our lands may also benefit our well-being. It is a place where the stewards of the land, both past and present, taught us to gather, learn, and live. They also taught us that the land provides us with a cultural, spiritual, physical and social connectedness that increases our overall health and mental well-being.

ANTHC invites you to share with us a photo that provides you with connectedness, spirit and joy in your part of Alaska!

Examples to help you tell us about your submission(s):

  • My culture gives beauty to my part of Alaska.
  • Honoring our people is how my community gives beauty to our part of Alaska.
  • Respecting the land and all of its resources provides strength to our spirit.
  • My joy for family and friends bring strength, love, laughter and beauty to my part of Alaska.
