New, expanded Internal Medicine, Podiatry and Pulmonology clinics opening soonApril 22, 2016
Our growth at ANMC is not only focused on improving access to care for our people, but also seeks to improve the quality and experience of the care we provide. Our latest projects to expand the ANMC Internal Medicine, Podiatry and Pulmonary Clinics will help achieve these goals through the addition of 20,000 square feet of new clinic space.
The third floor of the Healthy Communities Building (HCB) on the west side of the Alaska Native Health Campus was remodeled for additional patient care space to meet the growing health needs of our people. When the ANMC hospital was built, our Alaska Native population was much smaller and as our service population grew, ANTHC developed solutions to increase outpatient clinic space in innovative ways as outlined by the Consortium’s Facilities Master Plan. The clinics will move from ANMC into the new space and create additional opportunities for expansion in the hospital. The clinics will open in their new location on May 16.
Construction is also underway on the fourth floor of the HCB for the new Oncology Clinic and Infusion Center, which are scheduled to open in late fall 2016.
There will be shuttle service from the ANMC hospital to the new clinics. For more information, contact ANMC Customer Experience at (907) 729-3990. For more information about this project, contact Julia Suver in Strategic Access at firstname.lastname@example.org.
