ANMC recognizes our dedicated providers for their talents, unique workApril 1, 2016
ANTHC celebrated National Doctors’ Day this week with a breakfast for physicians and midlevel providers hosted by ANMC Hospital Administration. The talented health care team at ANMC has helped make the ANMC hospital a Level II Trauma Center since 1999, providing lifesaving, innovative care to our people every day.
At ANMC, the impact of our providers is apparent. ANTHC currently has 111 full-time physicians and 51 midlevel providers – the group concentrates on 23 medical specialties in our very busy and unique hospital environment. In 2015, the ANMC hospital experienced a high patient census, with more than 7,500 inpatient admissions and more than 60,000 emergency room visits. In addition, 1,641 babies were born at ANMC in 2015, our hospital’s highest annual total to date.
Being a provider means more than offering the highest quality care and services at the hospital. Our providers also help improve health and access to care for Alaska Native people around our state by offering a range of telehealth services and even by traveling the state for field clinics, bringing access to care closer to home for the people we serve.
Our providers are viewed as health care leaders and innovators at ANMC, around our state and beyond. Our leadership and staff thank our dedicated and talented providers for continuously delivering excellent care to our people every day.
